Living 100 miles from a shopping mall, the girls don't have shopping experiences on a regular basis. But they are learning to shop, prairie style.
Miss E has a shopping cart and goes grocery shopping in our pantry. But after seeing her "drive" herself around with her groceries on the stairway, I thought it was time I took the girls shopping, prairie style.
We didn't drive to the mall, just the consignment store 27 miles away which is loaded full of authentically prairie items, like Jello molds, funky furniture and much more.
While the girls played, I found treasures...
totaling less than $20. Prairie style shopping 100 miles from a shopping mall has it's benefits. What's your favorite bargain you found lately?

I try to take my son with me weekly, but I don't live that far from a mall and such, so teaching him is a little easier. I LOVE a bargain... make sure to stop by later this week (Friday) and see my blog about the bargains I get at local thrift stores and such! Its worth "bookmarking"

I love thrift stores, they rate right up there with garage sales...my kids love to shop at both! Miss E., I'm sure, will soon become an expert shopper:)
